Stress Relieving Tea — Loose Leaf Herbal Blend

A focused five-ingredient organic blend drawing on some of the most well-established nervine and calming botanicals in the European herbal tradition — Lavender, Valerian Root, Passionflower, Orange Peel, and Ginger. The lavender and passionflower provide aromatic floral depth; the valerian root adds its distinctive earthy, slightly musky character that is the hallmark of a traditional nervine blend; the orange peel contributes a bright citrus lift; and the ginger rounds the blend with warmth. Naturally caffeine-free. Blended and produced in Australia from imported organic ingredients.

Allergen note: Ginger contains naturally occurring sulphites. This product is sold as a food only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Stress Relieving Tea — FAQs

Everything you need to know before you order.

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is a perennial flowering plant native to Europe and Asia whose root has been used in herbal medicine since at least ancient Greece — Hippocrates and Galen both reference it. Its name is thought to derive from the Latin valere, meaning "to be healthy." In medieval Europe it was grown in monastery gardens and featured extensively in the Western herbal pharmacopoeia as one of the primary nervine roots — a botanical associated with calming the nervous system and supporting sleep. It has a distinctive, strongly earthy, slightly musky aroma and flavour that characterises any blend in which it appears.
Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is a climbing vine native to the Americas with strikingly intricate flowers. It was used traditionally by various Indigenous American peoples before being adopted into European herbal medicine in the 17th century. In the Western herbal tradition, passionflower is consistently classified as a nervine — a botanical associated with supporting the nervous system and reducing nervous tension. It has a mild, earthy, slightly bitter flavour and is commonly paired with valerian root as a classic nervine combination in traditional European herbalism.
Valerian root has a strongly earthy, somewhat pungent flavour that can be challenging in a plain cup. Orange Peel plays a key flavour role here — its bright, aromatic citrus character lifts and balances the blend, making it significantly more pleasant to drink. Ginger adds a gentle warming spice note that rounds the earthiness of the valerian and passionflower, while also contributing its own history as a circulatory and digestive botanical in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.
Yes — Ginger contains naturally occurring sulphites. Sulphites are one of the 14 major food allergens declared under Australian food standards. If you or your customers have a sulphite sensitivity, please take note. The Herbal Connection makes no allergen-free claims and notes that trace elements from farming practices may also be present.
Yes — completely. None of the five botanicals contain caffeine or are derived from the Camellia sinensis plant. Stress Relieving Tea is naturally caffeine-free and suitable at any time of day, including evenings.
Add one heaped teaspoon to a teapot or infuser. Pour freshly boiled water that has cooled slightly over the blend and steep for 5–7 minutes — the valerian root and ginger benefit from a longer steep to fully release their character. Strain and enjoy. The blend has an earthy, mildly spiced character with a citrus brightness from the orange peel. Store below 23°C in a dark, airtight container.
Stress Relieving Tea is available in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk packs. The 5kg option is a bulk pack, not individual units. For larger volumes, contract blending, or private label enquiries, please contact our office directly. We ship Australia-wide from our Gold Coast warehouse.
