A feeling of involvement in and concern for one's local community.
It is important to us that we give back and we are proud to help support the community where we can, both in personal time or by donating products to help aid a cause or with financial support.
The Herbal Connection supports Rosies Friends on the Street with time spent feeding the homeless and giving support to those sleeping rough. In addition we make regular product donations to their kitchen as well as the volunteer staff. We are now regular donors of product to the Sea Shepherd and are proud to help an organisation doing so much to stand up for our marine life and to protect the sanctuary they call home. Our small team regularly donate blood when our local blood van is in town we all head over and make our contribution.
In addition we also support our local aged care facilities with visits from our miniature goats and dog to help brighten the day of the elderly. Chris is also a member of the local Men's Shed group in Pimpama helping and supporting the efforts of locals to increase awareness and reduce the risk of mental health issues amongst men.
The Herbal Connection makes regular monetary donations to UNHCR, The Cancer Research Foundation, plant a tree for me, as well as sponsoring an Australian child through The Smith Family. We donate funds and time to communities that have suffered hardship. There are many worthwhile causes to support and whilst we only contribute to a few in this way we do try our best to be responsible and caring global citizens and do what we can to support both charitable organisations as well as local people in need.
