Silky, rich, and deeply aromatic — the Organic Velvet Latte is a finely ground certified organic powder blend of Vanilla Powder, Beetroot Powder, Ground Cardamom, True Cinnamon, Ground Cloves, Ground Ginger, and Ground Nutmeg. The beetroot provides its signature deep crimson-to-purple colour and an earthy sweetness; the vanilla rounds and softens; and the chai spice medley wraps the whole blend in warmth. No artificial flavours, colours, preservatives, or sweetener — just certified organic ingredients, blended with love at The Herbal Connection.

Add 1–2 teaspoons of powder to a small amount of hot water or warm milk and whisk or stir vigorously until dissolved and smooth — forming a paste first helps prevent lumps. Heat and froth your preferred milk — oat, almond, soy, and dairy all work beautifully — then pour over the paste, stirring to combine. Serve hot or over ice for a cold velvet latte. The powder can also be stirred into smoothies, overnight oats, or used as a natural food colouring in baking.
No — this blend is completely caffeine-free. None of the seven ingredients — beetroot, vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, or nutmeg — contain caffeine. True Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum or Ceylon Cinnamon) is the original, botanically authentic cinnamon — native to Sri Lanka and historically one of the most prized spices in the world. It has a delicate, complex flavour that is sweeter, lighter, and more nuanced than Cassia cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), which is the more common variety sold in supermarkets. True Cinnamon has thin, layered, papery bark that rolls into multiple layers when dried, while Cassia has a single thick curl. In latte blends, True Cinnamon dissolves more elegantly and delivers a gentler, more refined warmth.
The vivid deep red-to-purple colour comes entirely from the organic beetroot powder. Beetroot (Beta vulgaris) gets its colour from betalains — a class of natural pigments that produce colours ranging from bright crimson to deep purple depending on concentration, pH, and the type of milk used. Plant-based milks such as oat and almond tend to produce a richer, more stable colour; dairy milk may shift the hue slightly pink due to its protein content. No artificial colours are used.
Yes — Ginger contains naturally occurring sulphites. Sulphites are one of the 14 major food allergens declared under Australian food standards. If you or your customers have a sulphite sensitivity, please take note. The Herbal Connection makes no allergen-free claims and notes that trace elements from farming practices may also be present.
Yes — all seven ingredients are certified organic. There are no artificial flavours, colours, preservatives, or sweeteners. The blend is made by The Herbal Connection using local and imported certified organic products, blended at our 5-Star Eat Safe licensed facility on the Gold Coast. We are proudly Certified Organic and operate from our own facility in Coomera, Queensland.
Organic Velvet Latte is available in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk packs. The 5kg option is a bulk pack, not individual units. For larger volumes, contract blending, or private label enquiries, please contact our office directly. We ship Australia-wide from our Gold Coast warehouse.
Store below 23°C in a sealed, dry, dark container. Fine powder blends are sensitive to moisture — even a small amount of humidity can cause clumping. Always use a dry spoon and seal tightly after each use. When stored correctly the blend maintains its quality for up to 24 months from production.
