4 Dried Fruits to add to your mix
6th Mar 2023
In the last 24 months we added dried fruits to our offering for our customers who are looking to add fruits to tea blends or other mixes. Dried fruits offer a great solution when needing to add natural sweetness to your mix. Dried fruits retain all the nutrients of the whole fruit.
Blueberries and Cranberries
Blueberries and cranberries help your heart, bones, and skin while containing twenty-four percent of a person’s recommended daily allowance of vitamin C in a single cup. They retain this nutritional value even when dried, allowing you to eat them whole and in significant quantities or mix them into teas, juices, or on top of a salad you picked up for lunch at work. Regular blueberries can rot, soften, or leak juice if not eaten promptly, so having dried blueberries on hand can help you get your vitamin C and antioxidants efficiently.
Apples
An apple a day keeps the doctor away, or so they say. Regardless, apples are delicious and contain powerful antioxidants that help your skin retain its lustre and elasticity alongside longevity. Dried apples contain everything a whole apple has and more, with the convenience of going with you anywhere in a trail mix bag or as an accompaniment to a meal or dessert.
Figs
Figs are rich in natural fibre, potassium, calcium, and vitamins A and K, contributing to health and wellness. Some studies also report that figs may help increase sperm count in men and rebalance hormones in women, assisting cycles to remain consistent. Dried figs are an easy way to get all these benefits without needing to find, prepare, and consume a whole fig.
