About
Our Elderflower Herb consists of the dried, delicate blossoms of the Sambucus nigra tree. These creamy-white flowers are prized for their unique, sweet, and floral-fruity aroma, famously used in cordials, teas, and desserts.
As always, it's advisable to consult with healthcare professionals for personalised guidance on health concerns.
Directions of Use
1. Use 1-2 teaspoons of dried elderflowers per cup (250ml).
2. Pour over near-boiling water (around 90-95°C) to protect the delicate floral compounds.
3. Steep covered for 5-10 minutes. Covering the cup traps the volatile oils and aroma.
4. Strain and enjoy. Tastes delicious on its own, with a slice of lemon, or sweetened with honey.
5. Can also be used to infuse syrups, custards, or baked goods with a floral note.
