This is a 10kg bulk carton of English Breakfast OP Organic, a certified organic loose leaf black tea blend (Camellia sinensis), blended in-house by The Herbal Connection team from premium grade Assam and Darjeeling teas grown in India. Assam brings a rich, malty body while Darjeeling adds a brighter, aromatic lift, giving a full-bodied, well-rounded cup that holds up with or without milk. The 10kg carton offers a 5% saving over the regular 1kg price, making it a practical choice for cafes, tea brands, retailers and food service businesses that go through volume. OP (Orange Pekoe) refers to the whole-leaf grade of the tea. For smaller quantities, see our English Breakfast OP Organic 250g, 500g and 1kg packs. Directions of Use
This is a full-bodied loose leaf black tea supplied in bulk. Adjust leaf quantity and steeping time to suit your serve size and house style.
1. By the cup: Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf per cup. Pour over freshly boiled water and steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
2. By the pot or batch: Use around 10g of loose leaf per litre of freshly boiled water, steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain before serving.
3. Chai or milk tea base: Simmer a double-strength brew with your chosen spices, then add milk and sweeten to taste.
4. Iced tea: Brew at double strength, strain, allow to cool, then serve over ice with lemon.
5. Repacking or blending: Use as a ready-to-pack English Breakfast or as a black tea base for your own blends.
