Yes. Our English Breakfast tea bags are made from Soilon — a plant-based, biodegradable and compostable material derived from polylactic acid (PLA). Unlike conventional nylon pyramid bags, Soilon breaks down naturally and is suitable for home and commercial composting. It's one of the most eco-responsible choices available for pyramid-style tea bags in Australia.

Is glue used to seal the tea bags?

No — absolutely none. Our pyramid tea bags are sealed using a heat-bonding process only, with no adhesives or glue at any point in the production. This keeps the bag entirely food-safe and free from any chemical residues that can sometimes be associated with glue-sealed bags.

Where are these tea bags blended and packed?

All of our teas — including the Ceylon English Breakfast — are blended and packed right here in Coomera on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia by The Herbal Connection team. We operate from our own HACCP-certified, 5-Star Eat Safe facility, meaning every batch is produced under strict food safety protocols from start to finish.

BOP stands for Broken Orange Pekoe — a tea grading term that refers to the cut size of the tea leaf.
