Birch Leaves Organic — Betula pendula, Germany

Certified Organic Birch Leaves (Betula pendula) — cut and sieved dried leaf sourced from certified organic growing regions in Germany. The Silver Birch (Betula pendula) is one of the most iconic trees of northern European woodland — recognisable by its distinctive white papery bark and delicate, toothed leaves. It has been part of European herbal tradition for centuries and the dried leaf is a well-established ingredient in the continental European herbal tea trade, where it is frequently found in spring botanical blends and traditional herb tea formulations.

The dried leaf has a fresh, clean, mildly astringent flavour with a subtle grassy-green character — lighter and more delicate than many other botanical herbs, which makes it a useful ingredient for adding a fresh green note to blends without dominating the flavour profile. It infuses to a pale golden-green liquor. Birch leaf tea has a long culinary history in Germany, Scandinavia, and across northern Europe as a springtime beverage. Cut and sieved to 3–8mm tea-grade specification. Certified Organic (SCX No. 24041). Freeze-treated. This product is sold as a food only.
