Organic Ginger Lift — FAQs

Everything you need to know before you order.

Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is the dried calyx of the roselle plant, native to West Africa and widely cultivated across tropical regions including Mexico, Egypt, and Southeast Asia. It has been consumed as a traditional beverage for centuries — as Agua de Jamaica in Mexico, Bissap in West Africa, and Karkade in Egypt and Sudan. It has a striking deep crimson colour and a tartly fruity, cranberry-like flavour that dominates the visual and taste character of this blend. Hibiscus is one of the most widely consumed herbal beverages in the world.
Calendula (Calendula officinalis) — also known as pot marigold — is a flowering herb native to the Mediterranean with one of the longest documented histories in European herbal medicine. Its vivid orange and yellow petals have been used as a culinary ingredient (historically as a saffron substitute) and as a medicinal botanical since ancient Rome. In this blend the dried petals contribute a warm, golden-orange colour alongside the crimson hibiscus, a mildly earthy-sweet flavour, and a beautiful visual texture to the loose leaf blend.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has been used as a spice and medicinal ingredient for over 5,000 years, with records of its use across ancient India, China, and the Middle East. It is one of the most universally used botanicals across cultures for digestive comfort, warming the body, and general vitality. In this blend, the ginger cut provides the dominant heat and spice character — its pungent, warming sharpness cutting through and anchoring the more delicate floral and citrus notes from the hibiscus, calendula, and lemongrass.
Yes — Ginger contains naturally occurring sulphites. Sulphites are one of the 14 major food allergens declared under Australian food standards. If you or your customers have a sulphite sensitivity, please take note. The Herbal Connection makes no allergen-free claims and notes that trace elements from farming practices may also be present.
Yes — completely. None of the four botanicals are derived from the Camellia sinensis tea plant. Organic Ginger Lift is naturally caffeine-free and suitable for any time of day, including evenings.
Yes — all four ingredients are certified organic. The blend is made to order by The Herbal Connection — a Certified Organic business operating from our 5-Star Eat Safe licensed facility on the Gold Coast.
Add one heaped teaspoon to a teapot or infuser. Pour freshly boiled water over the blend and steep for 5–7 minutes — the ginger cut benefits from a longer, hotter steep to release its full warmth. Strain and enjoy. The hibiscus will produce a vivid crimson infusion. This blend also makes an excellent iced tea — brew strong and pour over ice with a slice of lemon or fresh ginger for extra spice. Store below 23°C in a dark, airtight container.
Organic Ginger Lift is available in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk packs. The 5kg option is a bulk pack, not individual units. Please allow an additional 3 business days as this blend is made to order. For larger volumes or wholesale enquiries, please contact our office directly. We ship Australia-wide from our Gold Coast warehouse.
