About

Neem Leaf Organic is 100% certified organic cut neem leaf (Azadirachta indica), sourced from India. Neem has a long history in traditional practice across South Asia, where the dried leaf is used to make infusions, hair rinses, and skin washes. Our leaf is cut (not powdered), making it easy to steep, simmer, or add to a bath soak. As a certified organic product, it's grown and processed without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers.

As always, it's advisable to consult with healthcare professionals for personalised guidance on health concerns.

Neem Leaf Organic — FAQs

Everything you need to know about our certified organic cut neem leaf

Neem leaf comes from the neem tree, Azadirachta indica, a fast-growing tree native to the Indian subcontinent. The leaves have a long history of traditional use across South Asia, most often prepared as an infusion or used topically as a rinse or wash. Our neem leaf is certified organic and cut (not powdered), sourced from India.
Neem leaf is traditionally used in herbal practice for its bitter, cleansing qualities, and is often incorporated into hair, skin, and general wellness routines as part of a broader traditional approach. As always, it's advisable to consult with healthcare professionals for personalised guidance on health concerns.
A common starting point when preparing neem leaf as a tea is around 1–2 teaspoons of cut leaf per cup, once daily, though many people use it less frequently as part of a broader routine. Because neem is quite bitter and potent, it's best to start with a smaller amount and see how it suits you — and to speak with a healthcare professional before regular use, particularly if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications.
Steep 1–2 teaspoons of cut neem leaf in a cup of hot (not boiling) water for around 5–10 minutes, then strain before drinking. The flavour is naturally quite bitter — some people add honey, lemon, or a milder herb like mint to balance it.
Yes — neem leaf is traditionally used as a hair rinse or scalp treatment, and as a skin wash or toner. To prepare it, simmer a handful of leaves in water, allow it to cool completely, strain, and apply to hair or skin. It's a good idea to patch-test on a small area first.
Our Neem Leaf Organic is cut leaf — whole leaf pieces, ideal for steeping into teas, rinses, and washes. Neem powder is the leaf ground finer, often used in face masks or pastes, while neem extract is a concentrated liquid preparation. All three come from the same plant but suit different uses depending on how you plan to prepare it.
Our neem leaf is sourced from India and is certified organic — grown and processed without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. It's available from The Herbal Connection in 250g, 500g, and 1kg sizes for wholesale and retail customers across Australia.
