Jasmine Green Tea Organic — Camellia sinensis with Jasmine Flowers, China

Certified Organic Jasmine Green Tea — premium green tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) scented with jasmine blossoms (Jasminum sambac), sourced from certified organic gardens in China. This is a traditional Chinese scented tea, crafted through the time-honoured method of layering fresh jasmine flowers with tea leaves over several nights so the leaf naturally absorbs the floral fragrance — the flowers are typically removed before final packing, leaving their aroma infused into the leaf rather than the dried petals themselves.

The result is a soothing, floral cup with a light body and smooth finish — the delicate jasmine fragrance sits over the characteristic fresh, grassy base of the green tea without overwhelming it. A light golden infusion with a gentle aroma makes this a versatile tea suited to both everyday drinking and more considered tasting. Certified organic. Available in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk. This product is sold as a food only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Jasmine Green Tea Organic — FAQs

Everything you need to know before you order.

Traditional jasmine tea is made through a scenting process rather than by mixing dried jasmine flowers with tea leaves. Fresh jasmine blossoms are layered with green tea leaves, usually overnight, allowing the tea leaves to naturally absorb the flowers' volatile floral oils. This process is typically repeated across multiple cycles using fresh batches of jasmine blossoms to build aromatic intensity. The spent flowers are then sifted out, leaving tea leaves carrying the jasmine fragrance rather than dried flower petals in the finished product. This is why high-quality jasmine tea has a genuinely fragrant, naturally floral aroma rather than an artificial or one-dimensional scent.
Use 1 teaspoon per cup. Steep in hot — not boiling — water at 80–85°C for 2–3 minutes. Green tea is sensitive to temperature: water that is too hot will scorch the leaf and produce a bitter, astringent cup, masking the delicate jasmine aroma. If you only have boiling water available, let it sit for 1–2 minutes before pouring to bring it down to the right range. Also delicious served as an iced tea — brew as above, allow to cool, then serve over ice with a twist of lemon or fresh herbs such as mint.
This product is fundamentally a green tea — its base botanical is Camellia sinensis, the true tea plant — scented with jasmine flowers, traditionally Jasminum sambac rather than Jasminum officinale (which is a different, more common ornamental jasmine species not typically used for tea scenting). If you have seen a reference to "Jasminum officinale" as the primary botanical for this product, this is a labelling inconsistency and the correct primary botanical is Camellia sinensis, scented with jasmine. Contact us if you require clarification or documentation for labelling purposes.
Yes — as a true tea made from Camellia sinensis, jasmine green tea contains caffeine. Green tea generally has a moderate caffeine level — lower than black tea and considerably lower than coffee. This is not a caffeine-free product. For caffeine-free floral or herbal alternatives, HC stocks Dandelion Roasted Chai and various Rooibos blends.
Jasmine Green Tea (this product) — green tea leaf scented with jasmine flowers through the traditional layering process; the finished product is predominantly tea leaf, with the jasmine flowers removed before packing. Jasmine Tea Buds — a different product made from the jasmine flower buds themselves, sometimes rolled with tea leaf into small pearl or bud shapes; these may be brewed for a more intensely floral, fragrant infusion with less of the tea leaf's grassy character coming through. Choose Jasmine Green Tea for an everyday balanced floral-green tea; choose Jasmine Tea Buds for a more intensely fragrant, specialty floral infusion.
