About

Our Chicory Powder Organic (Raw) is made from certified organic chicory root (Cichorium intybus), dried and ground without roasting. It is a single-ingredient, caffeine-free powder with a mild, earthy, slightly bitter flavour – lighter than roasted chicory, and a versatile base for coffee-style brews, warm lattes, smoothies, baking and blends. Chicory root has long been used as a coffee substitute and is traditionally used in herbal practice to support digestion.

Available in 250g, 500g and 1kg packs for home cooks, naturopaths, health food stores and food manufacturers, and handled by our HACCP certified, SXC certified organic processing team on the Gold Coast.

Directions of Use

Raw chicory powder is mild and earthy. Start with 1 teaspoon per serve and adjust to taste.

1. Coffee-style brew: Steep 1 teaspoon in 250ml of just-boiled water for about 5 minutes, or simmer gently for a stronger cup, then strain if desired. For a deeper flavour, blend with coffee or cacao.

2. Warm latte: Whisk 1 teaspoon into hot dairy or plant milk and sweeten with honey or a pinch of cinnamon.

3. Smoothies & porridge: Stir 1 teaspoon into smoothies, yoghurt, porridge or overnight oats.

4. Baking & cooking: Add 1–2 teaspoons to bread, biscuits, spice mixes or soups for an earthy depth of flavour.
