About

Our Organic Sencha is celebrated for its fresh, grassy flavour with a delicate sweetness and a hint of savoury umami. The leaves are expertly steamed after harvesting to lock in their vibrant colour and beneficial compounds, creating a beautifully balanced and refreshing brew. Currently available in our biodegradable single serve sachets, each pyramid tea bag is individually wrapped to offer freshness and comfort to use in many scenarios.

As always, it's advisable to consult with healthcare professionals for personalised guidance on health concerns.

Directions of Use

1. Place the tea bag into a cup. Use water that is well below boiling (around 75-85°C).

2. Pour the hot water over the tea and steep for 1-3 minutes. A shorter steep time prevents bitterness.

3. Enjoy!

4. High-quality Sencha leaves can be re-steeped 2-3 times. Use slightly hotter water for each subsequent, shorter infusion.

5. For iced tea, brew a double-strength batch, let it cool, and pour over ice.

Individually Wrapped Organic Green Tea Bags — FAQs

Everything you need to know before you order in bulk.

Yes. Our Green Tea bags are made from Soilon — a plant-based, biodegradable and compostable material derived from polylactic acid (PLA). Unlike conventional nylon pyramid bags, Soilon breaks down naturally and is suitable for home and commercial composting. The outer sachet is also biodegradable. It's one of the most eco-responsible choices available for individually wrapped pyramid-style tea bags in Australia.
No — absolutely none. Our pyramid tea bags are sealed using a heat-bonding process only, with no adhesives or glue at any point in production. This keeps the bag entirely food-safe and free from any chemical residues that can sometimes be associated with glue-sealed bags.
The green tea leaf is sourced and packed right here in Coomera on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia by The Herbal Connection team. We operate from our own HACCP-certified, 5-Star Eat Safe facility, meaning every batch of individually wrapped tea bags is produced under strict food safety protocols from start to finish.
Yes. This product is made using 100% certified organic Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) — a single-origin leaf with no fillers, flavourings or additives of any kind.
Yes. Green tea is made from the Camellia sinensis plant, the same plant used for black and white tea, so it naturally contains caffeine. It's generally lower in caffeine than black tea or coffee, making it a popular lighter option through the day.
Place one tea bag into your cup or teapot and pour water that's just off the boil (around 75–85°C) over it — fully boiling water can scald green tea leaves and make the cup taste bitter. Steep for 2–3 minutes, then remove the tea bag and enjoy. The used Soilon bag can be composted. Store below 23°C in a dark, airtight container.
Right here — this 100-pack is our standard café and retail bulk quantity, and it's ready to order online now. For larger wholesale volumes or contract tea bag packing under your own brand, please contact our office directly. We offer private label and contract packing services from our Gold Coast facility. A maximum of 10 packs can be purchased via the website; beyond that, reach out for a tailored wholesale quote.
For best results, store these individually wrapped green tea bags below 23°C in a dark location, ideally in an airtight container. When stored correctly, they maintain their quality for the full shelf life shown by the best-before date on the batch label. Unlike loose leaf tea, the individual wrapping helps protect each bag's aroma and freshness from light and moisture until it's opened.
