About

This listing is for one full 15kg bulk carton of Coriander Seed Whole (Coriandrum sativum), sourced from India and available exclusively to wholesale accounts. Whole coriander seed is the dried fruit of the coriander plant, known in Indian cuisine as dhania. Crushed or toasted, it gives a warm, nutty, lemony-citrus and lightly spicy flavour that suits curry powders, spice blends, pickling, chutneys, rubs and marinades. Carton pricing includes a 10% bulk discount off the standard per-kilogram rate, and standard wholesale volume discounts apply automatically at checkout. All carton orders are dispatched from our HACCP-certified, 5-Star Eat Safe facility in Coomera, Queensland.

As always, it's advisable to consult with healthcare professionals for personalised guidance on health concerns.

Directions of Use

Supplied as whole seed, so the flavour is at its best when the seeds are toasted and ground just before use.

1. Toast and grind: Dry-fry the seeds in a pan over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, let them cool, then grind in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.

2. Spice blends and rubs: Use whole or freshly ground seed in curry powders, garam masala, dukkah-style mixes, rubs and marinades.

3. Pickling and chutneys: Add whole seeds to pickling brines, chutneys, relishes and slow-cooked dishes.

4. Infusions: Lightly crush the seeds and steep in hot water as a simple infusion, or use in tea blends.

Coriander Seed Whole 15kg Bulk Carton - FAQs

Answers for wholesale buyers about our 15kg whole coriander seed carton.

Whole coriander seed in a 15kg bulk carton, supplied to wholesale buyers across Australia.

What is included in this bulk carton?

This listing is for a single 15kg bulk carton of whole coriander seed (Coriandrum sativum). The carton is not divided into individual units. It is a single wholesale pack intended for business use, such as food manufacturers, cafés and spice blenders. For smaller quantities, contact our team on sales@herbalconnection.com.au.

What does whole coriander seed taste like and what is it used for?

Coriander seed is the dried fruit of the coriander plant. Crushed or toasted, it has a warm, nutty, lemony-citrus and lightly spicy flavour, quite different from the fresh leaves (cilantro) of the same plant. It is widely used in curry powders, spice blends, pickling, chutneys, rubs and marinades, and is also steeped as a simple infusion. Coriander seed has a long traditional use in many food and herbal traditions. For personalised guidance on health concerns, consult a healthcare professional.

How do I use whole coriander seed in cooking?

For the strongest aroma, dry-fry the seeds in a pan over medium heat until fragrant, let them cool, then grind just before use. You can also add whole seeds directly to pickling brines, chutneys, slow-cooked dishes and spice blends, or lightly crush them to steep as an infusion.

What is the difference between whole and ground coriander seed?

Whole seed holds its flavour and aroma for longer, and grinding it fresh gives a more fragrant result than pre-ground coriander. This carton is whole seed only, not ground. If a recipe calls for ground coriander, grind the whole seeds first and measure after grinding.

Where does this coriander seed come from?

The origin of this coriander seed is India. Cartons are dispatched from our HACCP-certified, 5-Star Eat Safe facility in Coomera, Queensland. Country of origin documentation is available on request.

Is this coriander seed certified organic?

No. This carton is conventional and is not certified organic. If you need certified organic coriander seed, contact us at sales@herbalconnection.com.au.

Can I use this coriander seed for planting or growing?

This is a culinary spice sold as a food product only. It is not supplied or tested as sowing seed, so we can't advise on germination or growing.

What discount applies to bulk carton orders and how do I set up a wholesale account?

Carton pricing already includes a 10% bulk discount off the standard per-kilogram wholesale rate, and standard volume discount tiers (5% to 22%) apply automatically at checkout on top of the carton price. To set up an account, register on our Wholesale Account page. Once approved, wholesale pricing is applied automatically.

Can I get a certificate of analysis, and how is the carton shipped and stored?

Yes. A COA, allergen declaration, country of origin documentation and batch traceability records are available on request at sales@herbalconnection.com.au. Cartons are packed and dispatched from our Gold Coast warehouse within 48 hours of payment, with Australia-wide delivery via our freight partners. For pallet quantities, contact our team.
