Aphrodi-Tea Organic — FAQs

Everything you need to know before you order.

Chaste Tree Berry (Vitex agnus-castus) is the dried fruit of the Vitex shrub, native to the Mediterranean and Central Asia. It has been used in European herbal tradition for centuries, particularly in traditional women's herbalism, and is mentioned in ancient texts by Hippocrates and Dioscorides. It has a mild, slightly peppery and aromatic flavour.
Angelica Root (Angelica archangelica) has been used in Scandinavian and European herbal traditions for centuries, and also features prominently in Traditional Chinese Medicine as Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis). It has a warm, slightly musky, and aromatic character — adding complexity and depth to herbal blends. It is one of the classic European herbal roots with a long and well-documented history of use.
Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a fast-growing tree native to South Asia, particularly India. Known widely as the "drumstick tree," its leaves have been used in traditional Ayurvedic practice for thousands of years and are a staple food ingredient across South and Southeast Asia and Africa. The dried leaves have a mild, slightly grassy flavour and a vivid green colour that adds visual interest to blended teas.
Elderflowers (Sambucus nigra) are the blossoms of the elder plant, native to Europe and widely used in traditional European herbal medicine and culinary traditions. They have a delicate, fragrant floral flavour that softens and brightens the heavier root and leaf ingredients in this blend, contributing a light sweetness and an appealing aroma.
Yes — Ginger Root contains naturally occurring sulphites. Sulphites are one of the 14 major food allergens declared under Australian food standards. If you or your customers have a sulphite sensitivity, please take note before ordering. The Herbal Connection does not make allergen-free claims and notes that trace elements from farming practices may also be present.
Yes — Green Tea Sencha (Camellia sinensis) is naturally caffeinated. The remaining six botanicals in the blend are caffeine-free, but the overall blend is not suitable for those avoiding caffeine. Green tea generally contains less caffeine than black tea but more than herbal tisanes.
Yes. All seven ingredients are certified organic — blended by The Herbal Connection using local and imported certified organic products. The Herbal Connection is a Certified Organic business operating from our 5-Star Eat Safe licensed facility on the Gold Coast.
Add one heaped teaspoon to a teapot or infuser. Pour water at around 80°C over the leaves — slightly off the boil is ideal as this preserves the more delicate floral notes from the Elderflowers while still extracting the roots properly. Steep for 4–6 minutes and strain into your cup. Store below 23°C in a dark, airtight container.
Aphrodi-Tea Organic is available in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk packs. The 5kg option is a bulk pack, not individual units. For larger volumes, contract blending, or private label enquiries, please contact our office directly. We ship Australia-wide from our Gold Coast warehouse.
