Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a root herb native to India and North Africa with a history of use spanning thousands of years in Ayurvedic tradition. It belongs to the family of plants commonly referred to as adaptogens — botanicals that have traditionally been used to help the body maintain equilibrium in times of change or challenge. It has a mildly earthy, slightly bitter flavour.
Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a shrubby plant native to Northeast Asia and Russia. Despite sharing the "ginseng" name it is botanically distinct from Panax ginseng. It is another well-known botanical in the adaptogen category and has a long history of use in traditional Chinese and Russian folk medicine. It has a mild, slightly woody flavour that blends easily.
Ginkgo biloba is one of the oldest living tree species on Earth, and its leaves have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. It has a mild, slightly bitter taste and is a recognised botanical in both Eastern and Western herbal traditions, commonly included in blends designed to support mental alertness and general vitality.
Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) has been used as a botanical ingredient in herbal traditions across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe for thousands of years.
