Berry Boost Tea — Loose Leaf Blend

A naturally caffeine-free loose leaf blend that brews to a deep, rich colour reminiscent of a black tea — but without a drop of Camellia sinensis. Five botanicals — Moringa Leaves, Lemon Verbena, Elderberries, Blueberries, and Goji Berries — combine to produce a slightly sweet, earthy cup with berry undertones and a striking appearance that makes it as interesting to look at as it is to drink. Produced in Australia using local and imported ingredients.

Allergen note: Goji Berries contain naturally occurring sulphites at 10mg/kg. Available wholesale in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk packs.

Berry Boost Tea — FAQs

Everything you need to know before you order.

Yes — completely. None of the five botanicals in this blend are derived from the Camellia sinensis plant, which is the source of caffeine in black, green, and white teas. Berry Boost is naturally caffeine-free and suitable for any time of day, including evenings. The deep brew colour comes entirely from the Moringa and berry ingredients, not from tea.
The deep, dark colour comes primarily from the Moringa leaves and the dark-coloured berries — Elderberries, Blueberries, and Goji — all of which release rich pigments when steeped in hot water. Despite the striking colour, there is no black tea in this blend whatsoever. It's a caffeine-free tisane that simply brews dark and beautiful.
Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a tree native to South Asia, sometimes called the "drumstick tree," whose dried leaves have been used in traditional Ayurvedic practice and as a food ingredient for thousands of years. In this blend, the leaves contribute depth of colour, an earthy-grassy flavour base, and a vivid dark brew that gives the tea its distinctive appearance.
Lemon Verbena (Lippia citriodora) is a flowering shrub native to South America, widely cultivated in the Mediterranean and used extensively in European herbal and culinary traditions. It has a bright, clean lemony fragrance and flavour — one of the most intensely citrus-scented herbs available — and contributes a refreshing lift to the earthy, berry-forward base of this blend.
Elderberries (Sambucus nigra) are the small dark berries of the elder tree, native to Europe and widely used throughout European folk medicine for centuries. They have a tart, fruity flavour with a deep purple-black colour that bleeds richly into brewed beverages. Historically used in syrups, cordials, and wines across the British Isles and continental Europe.
Yes — Goji Berries contain naturally occurring sulphites at approximately 10mg/kg. Sulphites are one of the 14 major food allergens declared under Australian food standards. If you or your customers have a sulphite sensitivity, please take note before ordering. The Herbal Connection does not make allergen-free claims and notes that trace elements from farming practices may also be present.
Add one heaped teaspoon to a teapot or infuser. Pour freshly boiled water over the leaves and steep for 5–7 minutes — the berries and moringa benefit from a longer steep to develop their full colour and flavour. Strain into your cup and enjoy. Berry Boost also makes an excellent iced tea when brewed strong and chilled. Store below 23°C in a dark, airtight container.
Berry Boost Tea is available in 250g, 500g, 1kg, and 5kg bulk packs. The 5kg option is a bulk pack, not individual units. For larger volumes, contract blending, or private label enquiries, please contact our office directly. We ship Australia-wide from our Gold Coast warehouse.
