Directions of Use
Horsetail is a rugged plant; its mineral wealth is locked within tough cellular walls that require heat and time to extract.
1. The Long Infusion: To extract maximum silica, add 1-2 teaspoons to boiling water. Cover and steep for at least 15–20 minutes. The longer it steeps, the more minerals are pulled into the water.
2. Strengthening Hair Wash: Brew a strong batch (use 1/2 cup herb to 1 litre of water), let it cool completely, and use it as a final rinse after shampooing to support hair strength and shine.
3. Mineral-Rich Broths: Add a small handful to your slow-cooked stocks or bone broths. The long simmering time is the gold standard for mineral extraction.
